Please note that as of April, 2024, the British Columbia national class action involving all Smith & Nephew metal on metal (MoM) BIRMINGHAM System and R3 LINER devices has been discontinued.

The limitation period was suspended as of the date on which the BC action was commenced, but has now recommenced since the class action has been discontinued.

As such, if you wish to pursue any action against Smith & Nephew for damages relating to an R3 Liner or Birmingham hip implant device, you should seek out a lawyer to pursue the action for you. Whelton Hiutin LLP is not accepting clients related to this matter.
