The University of Toronto Law School’s moot team, coached by Whelton Hiutin LLP lawyer Maureen Whelton, recently placed first at the Canadian national rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. The top four teams will now advance to the international rounds of the competition where they will compete against teams from law schools from countries around the world. The Jessup is the world’s largest moot court competition and involves a simulation of a dispute before the International Court of Justice.
